Damien has worked as a researcher for the Department of Earth and Environment of Boston University for the past ten years. During this time he has used remote sensing, time series analysis, and machine learning algorithms to tackle "big data" problems. He received his Ph.D. in Natural Geography at BU looking at trends in forest productivity from remote sensing data related to climate change. Prior to working full-time, Damien also earned his M.A. in GIS and Remote Sensing and his B.A. in Environmental Science at BU.
